It is a pleasure to meet you! The first step of the counseling process is the most courageous and I am proud of you for taking these actions in asking for help. No matter what life is sending your way I am here to listen and provide support.
I am an empathetic counselor that has been working in the service of helping to evoke inspiration in others to lead their best lives holistically. I am capable of implementing coping skills that I have studied and utilized with passion. I have abilities in intuitive and active listening with the objective of crossing barriers through person-centered techniques. I am spirited about the cross-cultural implications of the counseling profession through advocating for the betterment of humanity.
I have experience working with substance use disorders, mood disorders, stress, anxiety, transition, adjustment, perinatal and postpartum challenges and much more. I enjoy using an eclectic mix of modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and existential-humanism with clients across the lifespan. I delight in utilizing meditation, grounding skills, breathing techniques and art to help clients engage their 5 senses.
In my free time I love hanging out with my pet pig (yes I have a pet pig), reading tarot cards, making art and traveling.
